We are working on a 2150 not a 2-150 and no the 478 herc and three speed came out with no problem . your engine is different but should come out . Now getting the 8.3 in is a little different and we are shell we say being creative as we have some mod.'s to do to the pan to clear the ft drive axle and drive shaft. And that is what is on the game plan for today. Now i have never had a 2-150 engine out and only been around one 2-150 in my time so don't know a bunch about them. The only thing i can offer to you is that when i have a rear main seal starting to leak i also take a look at the main bearing .
