I bought an X-series Husquvarna 324L with my stimulus money from President Bush. Still waiting on my check from president O. So, it's at least 4-5 years old. I always wanted a 4 stroke weedeater. Wish they made a 4 stroke chainsaw. Haven't seen one yet. It's been an easy starting, quiet, powerful, commercial weedeater. Weighs too much 13+ pounds, but I still love it, wouldn't want anything else. Doesn't smoke like a 2 stroke, but has a carb like a 2 stroke, no adjustments. I don't think I used it much this summer, if any, because it's been so dry. Well I was going around with a large bottle of staybil today putting it in my, weedeaters, mowers and tractors. The Husky didn't want to idle. Took carb apart, found only one main jet, no adjustments, blew out all the tiny holes in carb, put it back together and it runs like it should.
Now for the surprise, guess who makes the motor? It's not Husky. I only found this out after removing the carb and looking for numbers in case I had to order carb parts. If anyone comes up with the right answer, they will have bragging rights. I'll post back later with the answer.
