I try to keep prices checked as I travel and if I can use some I will get it at a cheaper price if available. I will not drive much out of the way because I get 18 mpg and it doesn't take many miles to kill any savings. we usually go to Winston-Salem about once a week and gas on the way is cheaper than here at home so I will get gas there, but we are going there any way so it is not out of the way.
I have a ford 8n tractor, to keep it tractor related also.
