I am looking at a few different trucks.
One is a 99 F350 with 8X12 flat deck, brake controler for the 2 5/16 ball hitch, V-10 with auto trans - both have 50,000kms, but the truck has 162,000 kms. Asking $4500
The other is a 95 with the 7.3 diesel and 5 spd 4wd, 153000 miles. Trailer hitch and deck is similar size and condition to the other. Asking $6900.
Both fairly low milage. I realize the V 10 will be thirsty, I don"t really care as it will only be out once a week at most. But will it be able to pull and carry the same load as the diesel? How much harder is the extra weight of the diesel on the front end?
I currently am retireing a 85 f 350 with the 6.9L. Too much wrong with this truck to continually dump money into it.
