You want to learn to polish brass you join the Navy. Go get a package of unsweetened Kool Aid and put it into a pan with water and bring it to a simmer. Put your brass in the brew and let them simmer for a little while. Wont make them shiney but will get the green crud out of the nooks, crannies and grooves. Then you can polish with Brasso. Depending on which political party you belong to you can then drink the Kool Aid.
