Many years ago, my maternal Grand-father lived with us after he reached the age of 85, or so. He had been a farmer until he retired, but he and his wife couldn't keep up with farm life, so they moved in with us. He'd often tell us kids that living to the ripe old age of 85 made it too tough to live on the farm. He also said that living that long meant that all of his friends had died, and he had nobody to talk to about the good old days! He lived to age 98! So, when i joined the local Fire Company, i made lots of friends there, and in our town, too! Now, a lot of my older friends have gone on, too, but i still keep making younger friends as much as possible. Most of the friends i made in this new place have gone on, too. Young folks tend to keep you in good health. that and hard work, too. And, a frothy cool one every evening helps keep the blood moving and the head clear! How old am i, you wonder? I am 86 years of age. September 14th is the next birthday. Rusty Jones
