I just rebuilt a wood hay rack wagon, so I brought it down to the farm 3 miles away with my ford 4610 tractor on paved roads. About 2 miles there on flat road the tractor started lugging and blowing black smoke! Like it was under heavy load? So I pushed the clutch to pull over and see if a hay wagon tire or tires went flat and the tractor stopped like the brakes were on?? They were not on of course. Anyway I started off again and the tractor seemed fine? Any ideas? Could the breakes hung up or something?
