I am putting new battery box and seat base on this SH I am working on. The 2-5/8" bolts in the front of box had the heads corroded off. I got one out with pipe wrench and soaking The second one only got worse so I welded a 3/4" nut to it and it came out and everything is fine. NOW the problem! there is 2 ears at rear of box that are to be attached under the heads of bolts on the rear of platform. The one that hold the PTO lever has wrung off. I soaked it for 2 hours and shook it with hammer blows for shock but when I thought it was moving , it was wringing. Whats best? try to dril it out and use easy out or try to weld 1/2" nut on the stub that is prottruding about 1/16' above the landing?
