i had to take my carb apart on my w-4 as the float had a hole in it. while i had it apart i realized that the carb was absolutly filthy. with what looks like sand setting in the bottom, almost 1/4" thick. so i decided that i would take it all apart and give it a good cleaning. all was going well until i tried to remove the idle jet. the only thing i managed to remove was the small chunck of metal on the side of the screwdriver slot. then while scrapping the rest of the carb down i was cleaning out from underneath the high speed adjustment screw and realize that there's all kinds of crap coming out from there. after a little research i figure out that it's a form of "packing". so here i am scratching my head. how do i go about getting that dang idle jet out, and the rest of the packing. i'm looking to buy the full rebuild kit off from this site, but can't tell if these two parts come in the kit. any insight on my dilemna would be much appreciated. i was also thinking about picking up a can of the carburetor cleaning acid that comes in the gallon cans. what's everyones opinion on this stuff, good or bad?
