I heated the flywheel slowly just to the point that a drop of water on it would just sizzle. I have a "holder" made up that allowed us to hang it from a chain hoist with it vertical. Be sure to have the keyways lined up and have the key ready. You can also put some ice on the crank (I put mine on in cold weather so the crank was cold). The flywheel slipped on very easily. Be ready with the key and be sure to keep the flywheel tight on the crankshaft. Put the key in and put the nut on. The flywheel will be tight on the crankshaft in only a couple of minutes, and if it's not in the right place, you get to pull it back off and try again (I know from experience). Good luck.
