For #3, let me make sure I understand with a scenario: Let's say I'm climbing a hill with some load and the TA is engaged, I understand you're saying to disengage the TA as I'm cresting the hill?
I remember seeing a sprag setup in there while browsing my M IT manual.
For #4, would this situation result if you had the TA engaged and then pressed the clutch while inclined in the respective wrong direction?
I did notice a little drag on the shifter this afternoon while going through the gears. The TA was not engaged. I'll get an IT manual for 560 and check the adjustment.
Is there some trick about TA position when shutting down the engine? I vaguely remember something about that being posted somewhere.
#3. Yes, let's say you are going up a hill with the lever back (low range), once you crest the hill you should put the lever ahead (direct) so you don't free-wheel.
#4. If you are going up a hill and push the clutch in, letting the tractor roll backwards while still in gear - that is tough on the ramp and rollers.
TA lever should be ahead when shutting down the engine - a kickback or running backwards when in low range can be tough on ramp and rollers.
