this site is so helpful, listen , learn, & never give up. i checked clutch pedal free play, and it was about 3" THE REPAIR MANUAL SAYS IT SHOULD BE 1 TO 1 1/8 " SO I ADJUSTED THE YOKE TO LENGTHEN THE CLUCTH ROD, WICH ALLOWED ME TO GET CLOSE TO 1'' however im out of adjustment , without going to a longer clutch rod. the tractor seems to shift and respond good, i have not tryed running the tractor yet, i just roll it a few feet forward and backwards. did the new type clutch disc cause this to need such adjustment. the old style disc was a solid type the new replacement disc has like 6 pads i think metalic in nature going around the disc, Ih DEALER SAYS THATS WHAT REPLACES OLD STYLE DISC. also when i installed disc, there is only 1 way to put it on right , cause if you try put it on backwards, it will hit the flywheel, i was carefuland took my time with this issue. i hope all is well, sure would have to split her!!! thanks Jim Gordon-- very cold today in minnesota!
