I think so too. I was suprised to find out that most current vehicles use it exclusively instead of engine gaskets in some areas. Water pump, oil pan, timing cover, valve covers, etc. Just about everything except the head gasket(s). Now do I prefer it to a gasket.......nope.....but on some things like this where the originals are pretty expensive I'd take it. I think I'm gonna do the M's transmission topcover and some other parts with the grey too.
