I guess I am the only one who doesn't own this type of jack. I prefer lifting from the top with a hoist, crane, or loader. If that is not possible, I use a forklift. There must be a good reason why the auto mfgs stopped furnishing them with every new car. The phase-out probably occurred when Americans started suing everybody instead of blaming themselves for their own incompetance. If they have big shade trees in CA, buy a chainfall.
