It's pretty simple: They didn't make that many 240s, Farmall or Utility, and relatively few are around these days, compared to letter-series farmalls, where the operational unit count is still in the hundreds of thousands. Aftermarket parts are expensive and time consuming to develop. They don't just grow on trees. When a company decides to produce an aftermarket part, they carefully analyze whether it's likely they'll sell enough copies to make a profit or not. If profit is not likely, as in the case with a low-production tractor like the 240U, they don't make the part.
