Over the last three months, I have completely rebuilt the front half of a 1972 IH574 utility tractor. I have gone from the wheel bearings to the brake cylinders and everything in between. During that time, I have almost daily checked the Farmall/IH posts and archives. I even posted a question of my own. The current and past experiences of the posters on this board have been really valuable to me. Well, the old girl roared to life on Saturday afternoon. She runs great. That"s the good news. The bad news is that this is phase one of three. Phase two is to rebuild the 2050A loader that I have, and phase three is to go through the back half of the tractor. So, for at least the next two winters, I will be a regular visitor to this site. Thank you very much. Fredthefrog P.S. This is a work tractor. I use it for cattle chores, pasture maintenance, snow removal, and general work around the house.
