Well, my classic tractor fever is apparently contagious. My dad decided he wanted to get an M to restore, as he used to work one when he was a kid. Well, yesterday we finally found one for him down in central Indiana. Got a complete, running 1944 M with straight sheet metal for $850.00. I think he did pretty good for that price (although my mom doesn't think so -- she just sees it as a "rusty piece of junk"). We had a trailer with 80 inches between the fenders. Only had to turn around one wheel to fit, and we had 4 inches to spare. Took it slow back to his house in Northern Indiana and unloaded it. Just got back to my home in Michigan. I'm so excited for him. Finally we've got a hobby that both of us enjoy. Sure glad he likes red tractors, too. I don't care for the green ones ( I do think that the prairie gold ones and the orange ones are okay, though). Merry Christmas everybody. My dad sure is having one -- with that M under the tree.
