Well the reason I pulled the head off was that when working the change over levers they seemed real tight, and no matter how much I squirted Wd40 on everything they stayed tight. These critters are new to me, I was raised up around an M, 560D, 460G, 806, 450, 860 Ford(Grandpas)and a 1066 turbo. I wasn't for sure what was causing the problem. Another big factor, the exhaust manifold where the cast iron pipe threads in was pretty much gone.I drained 4 gal of water out of the pan when i got her home, again I got this thing CHEAP. So I was sure there was probably some valves stuck. I didn't want to risk tearing her up more if there was a valve stuck and a piston would hit it. I wasn't for sure if these guy's are zero clearance on the valves. So I jerked the head off to have a looky.
