Hello everyone You might remember me from asking a bunch of Super A questions recently... Well being a collector I am looking for my next tractor and really have my heart set on a 400-450 farmall. I found a 450 in NY and I'm trying to not let my heart get the best of me and make a reasonable offer. I am hoping someone can speak up on price/condition and if I am in the area. THe owner is asking $2000. I am thinking MAYBE that is ok. But trying to get down to the $1800 area if possible. Details on the tractor. Starts and runs good, TA is not working (not sure what is wrong, Possibly no good), Has Power steering and fast hitch. Clutch and Tranny Fine. It does leak on the hydraulic hoses but nothing terrible, THe fasthitch was welded in the lower left side of the frame right below the hydraulic cylinder as it was cracked. The weld looks good to me though. Tires on front at 50% no rear at 30% or 20%. THe battery box is pretty rusted out and had some angle welded around it for support. The tin is in straight shape and overall not rusty or pitted bad at all. He tells me there have been no other changes or modifications. Its a Gas engine by the way. Hopefully some of you all can speak up and let me know if I pay $2000 am I getting ripped! I am thinking a bit less but what do I know... I have always wanted this model tractor. Thanks

This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit
