Hugh, I had one of those A-23 mowers and I agree, it was too heavy for the Super A. In fact it was too heavy for itself, as the lift cable was a constant maintenance problem, plus the touch control would barely lift it. Needless to say, I did not keep it long. However, as a youngster, I recall seeing a lot of Super A's in highway mowing service using those mowers. I wonder if they were really satisfactory for the service?? I also agree that a mower like that would not be good on a B with the tricyle front end. I don't know if IH made one for the B or not.
