Hi All, I am new to the tractor restoration business. I have only recently gotten interested in old tractors, mainly IHC/Farmalls. My wife's grandfather used to farm with one (maybe an H or M) and she's kinda' gotten the bug after we saw some that had been restored. I have orders from her to get one and fix it up!!! Anyway, just today I bought a 1940 H and on the way to look at it, I found an OS-6 sitting on the side of the road. I left a card for the owner to call me about it. I also plan to go look at a Cub in the next few days. This is a most interesting web site (this is where I found the H) and looks like a great source of info. I am a member of the Antique Caterpillar club (I have a 1950 D6-8U) and have worked on tractors and equipment for 20 some years but have never done any restoration as such. Anyway, I probably will need some advice but are there any major areas to look for problems on the OS-6 and the Cub? The OS-6 was pretty rough but it looked like it was all there. All I know about the Cub is it is not running, the guy is asking $800.00 for it. Thanks in advance for any feedback. Tommy

It was an Allis-Chalmers tractor dealership,
