My SMTA Lp tank mounts long ways N S. I have seen many M's with the tank sideways though. I am the third owner of my LP SMTA and the tractor also does not denote LP in the serial # on the clutch housing. The second owner bought it from the original owner and was told the tractor was bought new from IH with the LP setup. Van
