Guess i have been away to long from fixen them and getting cenial Your wright sorry , then if that is the case then if it was me i would pull it and bore because if it needs rings then there is more ware then you want and probable and out of round cond. Now if someone does have a portable boring bar then it can be done in chassi but they are a bear to clean and get all the chips out of. And yes there will be a ridge.
