I'm not sure what was wrong with the governor that was on the tractor, but it sure was worn out compared to the one from my parts tractor. Put the other governor on and it runs perfect! Still needs some carburetor work, must be plugged with rust somewhere yet. I've even got almost all the rust out of the block too now. Had the plates off the side yesterday and used the powerwasher and air gun to finish cleaning it out. The water I drained today just had a rust color to it with no major chunks coming out. Another flush or two and I think I'll be ready for antifreeze. I have a 3 week Christmas break so I should be able to get a lot of work done then. Have to pull the engine out and switch flywheels so I have a good ring gear on it. Hopefully the clutch will look OK, if not I'll fix that right away too. Probably put a new rear main seal in too while I'm that far into it. Thanks for letting me ramble!
