Take the rod off of the flat arm on the back of the governor. Put the hand lever of the throttle in the high speed notch. Pull the governor lever to the end of its travel (toward high speed). Adjust the belcrank linkage near the top of the engine until the rod pivot aligns tightly with the hole in the governor rod at that point. Thghten the jamb nuts put in a new cotterpin in the governor link, and you are home free. --- PS it is normal for it to have almost 25 to 30% free play at the idle end of the hand lever travel. JimN
