Bob is correct you have a releif not working . You could send that new pump to lunch real fast or even get injured. Hyd . pressure is nothing to fool with . It can Kill. If ya don't have a gauge get one that is able to read TWICE what the system can handel and a hose that can handel the same . Also make sure that you have a book and read before ya do anything.That is why i use my flow rater when checking hyd. pressure as i can reg. the pressure as i go and if it startes to get to far over rated pressure i can control it and find why it is going over . . Now i know you can't go and lay out the mega. bucks for a flow rater but you can afford a good liquid gages that will read 5000 PSi.
