First off, I am a librarian by trade. I know little and nothing about farming equipment. And wish now I had paid more attention to my pop. This belonged to my now deceased father. My mother went into a nursing home about a year ago now. I am trying to liquidate my father farm stuff. But I have no clue as to the value of these things. WHat he had, was a 1953 farmall super a, with EVERY attachment except for the mower deck. It runs like a champion. He JUST had the gearbox rebuilt, about 2 years before he died. What is a reasonable price to ask for this? I have been offered between $800 and $1100. But I do not want to GIVE my father's things away. Can someone tell me a fair price I should expect for it? It's in EXCELLENT running shape. Needs paint. But other than that, she can STILL go plow the snow out of the driveway (WHICH I did this winter) or plow a field. HELP!? Thanks very much in advance.
