There is some guys talking about them back
in 2012. They said 9 1/8 stroke and 5 1/4
bore. Think that is around 760 cu.
Bearings are almost impossible to find.
Thete is people that will make them. Same
with gaskets. But don't really need a
head gasket. Fire rings are better. Best
to put a Red Diamond motor in a 460 ihc.

When they stroke the crank are they using stock bearings or something else for the rods. I have bearings but my problem is nobody wants to stroke the crank for me says its an odd ball engine at 335 cubes. Is there someone you know that will do it.

Ok Question What is the difference between the W-9 head that is a gasoline engine and a 650Lp. I know the compression ratio would be higher but are the ports bigger in size for air flow.

Reach out to Josh Hannah from Bolkow MO, he is pretty good with the big IH stuff, the one guy I knew that played a lot with the old 4 cylinders died about 20 years ago, he had a 22-36 that he stroked 1 3/4" I think, he bored it 3/4" agian if memory serves, was using pratt whitney pistons, rods were bottoms and Pratt tops, he just doubled the cubes on her, them old slow motors are pretty forgiving. If you have someone do the crank make sure they radius journals right, my buddy broke one because they didn't.

Do you have a contact for this Josh. Nobody doesn't really want to mess with cranks for some reason saying the oil hole would be tough to move over.

I do not but he is on the board of the NATPA I believe. He doesn't do the machining himself but may have someone that will, also maybe reach to Loren at Z Machine in Ocheyedan Iowa, he used to do oddball stuff like that and cranks are his deal!

How far out can you bore a 9 sleeve? 4.6 0r 4.7? thinking of boring out sleeves and have custom pistons made.
