Now this says top cut at 3.5 mph which we have been told it is any cut.Which is it would hate to drive 4 hours and not know

I'd like to know the reasons for doin away w/top cut class. Im sure it was added couple years ago for a reason? Makes no sense to me.

Not shure Early B of the reason you will have to ask Brad Peters about the change from topcut to full cut!

Anyone from MI going to Harrisburg that would be interested in picking up in MI and bringing a set of 9 bolt hubs?

My guess is that people would run top cuts in the non cut tire classes. I agree, its stupid because a top cut tire isn't a whole lot better than a road worn tire in my opinion.

I thought the same thing until I used a set of cut tires on a good track

My prob is i pull top cut ever where i go, now i have to pull against full cut tires, im not goin to invest a set of full cuts just for one pull! Im sure alot of guys will drop down to non cut but thats not fair to the "stock" guys.

Jason, your welcome to borrow my 15.5x38 full cuts if you want to pick them up in Wellsville. They seep a little so carry an air tank. I'm not convinced full cut "small tires" at 3-1/2 mph in the horse arena sawdust/dirt is an advantage. I'm guessing the 6 mph and wide open classes with 18.4 tires benefit from full cut tires. Could be wrong, not a real puller, just an old geezer with a hopped up tractor.

Did i read this wrong? Is it saying that any cut on a tire wont be allowed in the non cut class? I was under the impression that they ment any cut will be considered a full cut.

What is going thru your head with your comment? You are kidding me saying that road worn is almost equivalent to top cuts? Your crazy and probably should get a quick head examination. You must have hit your
head recently. And furthermore to your first comment, the team that puts this pull on pays attention to the tires and wouldn't let top cuts or any cut run in the non cut tire class. The mid atlantic super
pull is way out of your league.

You are what is wrong with tractor pulling.

For those who have pulled there in the past, I really don't think the small full cut tires are going to be much of an advantage at 3.5mph. We have won some 6mph classes there in the past with 18.4 top cuts against mostly front cut tires - it's really just all about momentumon on that drop pan sled....

I think it'll make for some more competitive classes personally - there wasn't much chance of consistently competing with 18.4's with a pair of 15.5's in the 6mph - I mean you can still try now, but if all you have is 15.5's you have a better chance at 3.5mph against other tractors with those same size tires. I don't think it hurts the top cut guys much on that track to pull against full cuts. Just my opinion. I like the change personally.
