IH 656 repower

Anyone ever re-powered a Farmall 656 chassis with a GM 6.2 diesel V-8? 656 has a shot gas engine, and have a 6.2 I'd like to put in something. Did see a 6.2 in a MM at a show once, think it was an M-602. Might part it out but hate to do that just yet. Thanks in advance.

Fix the old engine. Seen 7.3 idi in a m. Neat.

I saw a 7.3 IDI this past summer on a tractor ride, think it was in a Farmall H. I'd be more likely to fix the original engine if it were a diesel. Only spark plug engines I have now are in the car and lawnmower, everything else is diesel..
