Axle Housing

(quoted from post at 20:01:46 12/02/16) Is there an axle housing change for a Farmall "C" that will bolt up to eliminate the long axels?

I did that research a while back when I acquired my SC...I found this info on the web....SOOOO here is the answer, YES there are actually 3 different axle hsngs for the C series tractors and 3 different lengths of axles. There is a standard hsng and a hsng for 100 inch axles. The standard hsng fits C or SC. The 100 in. hsng has different # for SC so that makes a total of three different hsngs for C series. and there are different #'s for right and left. So That's 6 part #'s for axle hsngs...I have no idea of the actual length of any of them.

As for axles there are three different lengths, 80 inch, 88 inch and 100 inch. The part numbers are the same for a C or SC.

From what I understand by scanning the part #'s if you have 80 or 88 inch axles then you have the short hsng, so you could just cut off the excess axle. If you have the 100 in axles then you have the long hsng, and a shorter one could be installed with a shorter axle....I Guess...as I have not done this my self....Here is link to the part #'s
