Are they worth messing with? I'll have to buy a complete salvage G705 to get them, but ??? MM is out of my knowledge area.

What are you going to do with them? ? The 4210 is a very versatile, popular head. Enough compression to produce good power: not usually requiring the extra high dollar gas. More details will be helpful.

I'm trying to convince this guy to stop cutting these things up for short iron. It's complete with straight sheet metal. Just dead. Don't know if the engine is seized or loose. $1,500.00

I'm not going to do anything with the heads or the any of the tractor. I just get tired of seeing so many cut up. Surely someone can use part of it or maybe even the whole thing.

Seems to me a bit high. Unless scrap has gone up drastically recently: over twice what it will bring for scrap: after time and expenses to cut it up.

That kind of thinking is exactly why these relics are getting melted down in China. Why do so many people not like scrappers but think just like a scrapper and want to pay scrap price? He owns the scrap yard, so what you or I could get for scrap he can double. I just bought a CASE from him because that's my brand, but I sure hate to see usable machines go to waste. There'll never be another one made to take its place.

There is a point where it is not economicaly feasible to rebuild one. End up with 2-3 times as much money in them than they will bring. Now in another 20 years: that may be different: but: that one will no doubt be gone. Sad but true. If all were saved: none would be worth much.
