$3.99 Tire Cutting Tool From Wal-Mart

Heres my $3.99 tire cutting tool from Wal-Mart..I bought a tractor with 18.4x38 top cuts and there are no classes for these in my area....So yesterday afternoon the left tire got the knife..I'm going to rest my right hand a couple of days before I tackle the right tire....No,they aren't perfect but they will work..

How many have cut tires this way?Over the years I've done quite a few pulling tires this way..It sure helps when the top has already been done..

I've done my share of those too. You can still find slices laying around pop's place after 50 years. We found that a 4 inch angle grinder with the blue course disk saves a lot of blisters, but wear a filter or you will have black boogers for a while. gm
 
Gary,you and I must be the only ones on here to do it by hand....I think that I've done 6-7 pairs ranging in size from 15.5x38 to 24.5x32...The 15.5s were the first pair I did way back in 1970..
 
I have been lucky enough to use a hot knife setup that I borrowed. Lots of my friends used their moms butcher knife "back in the day"!
