Farmall C-153

I am looking to build a Farmall C with the c153 motor and was wondering if anyone knows how far one can be bored and still run water with and without sleeve's. Also what kind of power could I expect. Thanks

153 does not have sleeves

I talked with a fellow once that had a C153 out of a 444 setup around the same size as a 400 or 450, can't remember which. I do remember him saying that the pto parts broke around 75 hp on the dyno so he had at least that much.

I have a C with a 153 in it. Not sure of the horsepower but it runs and pulls great in the 3500 lb. class with 12.4 x 38 rears. It is a winner with many blue ribbons. good luck with yours.

A 153 can't go far there isn't any room left , it was used to make the 153 from the original 113. They can make a lot ad power my experience has been to run them loose with lots of head work it will pay off.
