IH front post

Can someome tell me how much lighter a front post from a 504 is than one from a 560? Also is there a differance in height?

The bolt pattern is not the same but lighter.

The bolt pattern is the same from the row crop style 504 tractor, I have one bolted into my IH 460. I cleaned out some of the cast at the back side of it also, steers very easily too and I would guess half the weight of original. I did mine a long time ago and don't remember actual weight of it but I could carry it around.

Sorry, I was thing steering gear box. The actual post is a different bolt pattern that the narrow front pedestal bolts to the steering gear box shaft with. Make an adapter plate to fit it to your 460/560 gear box.
