Princeton, in. pull

I'll be happy to. By the conversations I had the track was better on Saturday vs. the test and tune on Friday evening and it took some nose weight at the top end of the track to get the job done.

From what Darlene Cromer indicated on Facebook they had about 200 hooks. I understand and appreciate why some stayed away because of weather concerns coming into, and out of, the event, but I also want to commend the Gibson Co. group and the pullers who made the trip to compete.

I've been actively going to NATPA pulls now for 5-6 years now and have missed only a handful. Following the NATPA events and other indoor pulls in the wintertime has given me new perspective on the process. Everytime a pull is put together for the window of November 1st-March 31st, even beyond that, there is a massive amount of assumed risk going into the pull with the weather. A summer outdoor pull can get rained out for sure; however an indoor pull has the greater risk of travel problems coming to and going away from the event. Promoters and pullers who fight this risk every time they schedule a pull or leave their driveway should be commended for working with this risk, no matter how big or small the weatherman says the risk might be. Three weeks ago here in my home county we were forecast a "dusting" of snow from 3pm-8pm. At 8pm I went out and measured 5 inches of snow on the ground that wasnt supposed to be there so that risk in itself is bigger than we sometimes think. I commend those that assume the risk, and again, I cannot stress it enough, I understand those that refrain from taking it.
