Farmall C frame?

There is no frame on a C . So by connecting the front to the bell housing you take a lot pressure off the front cover of the engine.

Like Joe said, the Farmall C has no frame and tieing the front end to the bellhousing will help take alot of stress off the front and back of the block.
In most of the hotter pulling classes you'll see tie bar rules were they want to see the tractor supported by framework in a such a way that if you landed the front hard or had a clutch explosion and broke the tractor at the bellhousing it wouldn't just fall apart and lay on the ground.
