Light weight steering knuckles

I was wondering what most people use for light weight steering knuckles when building a light front axle ? I havent had luck finding a combine or hay wagon axle. I was thinking of using my factory white 2-70 knuckles and using a light tube but the knuckles are heavy as all hell. Maybe something off a small light tractor but not sure what models to look for ?

Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Not sure what your building? We are building a International 300 utility. We used a AC B front end and steering box. I can carry the front end with the wheels & tires on it. Took some work but it looks good, and is very light.

Iam building a hot farm white 2-70 for the lighter classes. I have a pair of c channel rails on it and am starting on the front axle now. I was just going to use a round or rectangle tube but would like some knuckles lighter than stock.

I used a Pinto rack and pinion then just light
weight 2 inch plate about 5 inches long. Welded
the car tie-rods to the plate and drilled a 1/2
inch hole in the plate. Then bolted to the spindle.
Need to get wheels towed in about 1/4 in before you
weld. I'm not going to drive it 20 miles in its
life.

Thanks for the tip on the steering vic. For this one Iam just going to use a ram with a helm pump. I just need to find some light knuckles somewhere. Maybe hay wagon or something. Problem is tractor parts are not to easy to find in Massachusetts. I made a wanted post for a combine axle, maybe I should make one for some hay wagon knuckles.

Have you considered a Swartz front end or parts from one? The adjustable one off my 4010 weighed about 320 lbs the way it came off the tractor. I used it on my 4430 with a steering ram. I weigh 8200 with a driver and no weight, I usually pull 9500 to 10500. I'll pull heavier classes, but I only weigh 10400 at most. What weight class are you trying to make and what rules?

It pretty much a open hot farm class. Iam trying to make 6000 with a 2 bar cage on 24.5s. I had a haslag front axle for my 706. Shipping weight all boxed up was 79 pnds. Iam in a time crunch though to get the tractor rolling so I can move it from were it is.
I may just have to buy a pair of hay wagon or combine spindles and make the rest.

Sorry didn't read question right. I have an axle from a sprint car. And knock off hubs. Have let it down pretty hard. But is braced from the frame rails.
