M670 Tie Rod Ends

My latest save from the scrapper has already hit my donor pile pretty hard and now I notice the tie rod ends are shot......(How many thousand hours before an un-greased tie rod wears out?)

If the the best place to get them AGCO? Thanks

I believe Welters Farm Supply might have some. I myself buy the rubber boots to use on them from John Deere, I think the 4020 ones are the closest. I can possibly find the part number if you need it. The ones from JD are roughly the same amount of money but they last longer than the Agco ones. The last ones I got from Agco lasted about 3 1/2 to 4 months and they were all split and cracked.

Alan, maybe that's why I was sure I replaced the boots on my 670 but it's already missing 2 of them! Have to replace them here soon. (have new AGCO ones for it )

That might be it. It seems most of the rubber components that now are made overseas don't last. Maybe you need to put on one Agco on one side and a JD one on the other and see which one last longer lol. I sure was not expecting them to "disintegrate" as fast as they did.

So she was getting hot after just a short time of running. Since she already had a good radiator (donor) I figured the thermostat was stuck.....alas no thermostat at all. The issue was a little deeper. I am not EVEN going to try to figure out where the lost fins have gone...... back to donor pile.
