Starting work on replacing 630 seals on Power Steering Pump

Study it over good. Many years ago, I put one of those PS pump seals in backward. They're easier to get apart the second time, ha.
 
Pay attention to the pump shaft, if their is the slightest groove in the shaft the new O-rings will not seal the shaft. So you'll have to buy a new shaft. The old seals were rawhide seals, when they contacted oil they swelled up and formed a tighter seal but would wear a groove in the shaft. In the past that wasn't a problem if they were replaced with a new rawhide seal. Good luck!
