Hello all, i have a deere 5045D that i am putting a loader on. The dealership wants to charge 800$ to install the loader so i was thinking about doing it myself. I figured maybe i could use an engine hoise to lift the mast arms and then drive the tractor into it? Also does anyone have any pictures of the hyd. hose routing and where they hook up at on the tractor? And last, is there any benifit to having the mid mount valve to the valve that is mounted onto the loader? Im looking at the 512 loader and i can either get it with a loader mountd joystick or i can pay an extra 300 or 400 and get a mid mount valve with a tractor mount joystick. Thanks!

That sounds like a lot to mount it ? Especially if you bought it all there.
I have a 5105 and I think a 521 ? loader it has the mid mount valve with a joystick. Very nice placement to reach and work and loader has a lot of power ! Make darn sure you put enough weight on the rear to hold it all down.

I have included a URL to the operators manual for the loader. It addresses how to attach and detach the loader. The loader does need to be on flat ground and note the loader pulls the tractor on it, so the tractor needs to be in neutral. It is easy to do.

But take into consideration he's not just putting on the loader for the first time, but sounds like valves too.

But $800 ? even at $100 per hour that is a full day ?
Dealer should have someone who has done this before ( maybe they don't )and I sure would think it could be done faster than that ? I don't know though ?
