Looking at this tractor. Seller says PTO seal leaking, easy fix ,I think. Did the seal in my 640 and 960. Also said brake seals leaking? Thought old fords had dry brakes? So what is leaking in top picture? Axle grease? Thanks

Probably oil from the rear end leaking past the axle seals.
You know that isn't a Jubilee, right? Looks like a 640 from here.

Agree it's probably, a better tractor, 600. Also agree might be axle seals maybe leaking. You also may want to look a the tube stem. It looks from the one photo that might the problem.

I haven't looked at it yet but seller says # naa700...... Thought jubilee. Can't remember what he said rest was

It is a good looking tractor. We ate planning to go look at it Thursday or Friday. He is asking 1750. But has already offered to knock off 150 for brake seals and PTO seal. When I texted him about em being dry brakes and that I thought it was axel seals he said we could work out a discount because I would need to fix it. I'm gonna try to get it for 1200. do you think it hurts value being a jubilee # on motor and tractor being a 600?

"do you think it hurts value being a jubilee # on motor and tractor being a 600?"

They were both 134 engines. Value might be lower to a collector.
No difference to most anyone who wants to use it IMHO.

It's a steal at $1200, if I wanted it and $1500 was the least he would take then I'd load it up and still be happy if it runs as good as it looks

Exactly. I know prices vary by region, but around here, you'll have a hard time finding a running NAA/600/601 for $1500.

If the NAA serial number is on the engine, that's an early NAA engine, as they switched to putting the s/n on the transmission partway through the production run, and chances are that the 600 series model and serial number are on the flat spot on the transmission bell housing.
