Replacing the hydraulic filter on my 504 because the pump was cavitating. The tractor had the doughnut style. I am wanting to replace it with the oval style. However, when I look at the new filters online I notice that on the opposite side of the suction tube, there is another large opening. What is supposed to go over it?
