72 case 450 track loader 1 track not working after sitting

HI, I have a 72 case 450 that worked when parked and sat for about 5 years. fires right up but left track is not attempting to move. doesn't even sound like it is engageing when lever is moved. right works fine?

Your brake disconnect valve is stuck in on the track that is not moving.

could that happen even if brakes don't work? where is the brake disconnect valve?

Yes it could have happened the last time you parked it or even when you got on the machine to start it. You may have steeped on the brake ,perhaps there was enough brake fluid in the res and or line. On the control valve under the seat look for two brake lines that connect to the front of the control valve

finally got it fixed tonight. pulled back off transmission valve and pushed plunger back for brake disconnect valve. track now working. thanks for the help.
