I have a Case 440 U. My serial numbers are 8275508 and my engine numbers are 2125395. I thought this is in the years of Case on the serial numbers are a 1965. A friends tractor which is a case 440 U has a serial number 8233033 and engine has no tag but has casting numbers of 113. what I think is interesting is that his tractor has to be a 1964. Does not have triple speed transmission nor has a hydrostatic steering. Has solid front axle with a power hydraulic arm on the front for power steering. Since it was bought from the county for road work it looks like a standard version case 440 U. I was wondering if the serial number sheet I was looking at is right. Is it right may I ask? Thanks
