Thanks to Dean Z, Nick@NY casecollectorsc,Don Rudolph Bobl1958 for your wisdom and experience. I was able to get the DC running off of the 20# lp cylinder. It idled along very well. I could not rev it up, it would sound as if it was not getting fuel. Since this was a conversion and not a Case factory lp. It had the Century H vaporizer/regulator. I replaced with same. I've since ordered a book that was primarily directed at John Deere lp tractors which also used this regulator. Also I now know that after 1975 something changed about this regulator so I have a conversion directive coming also. Really made me happy to get this tractor which has not been started for 10+ years barking again. Will update when next step is accomplished. thanks to all gobble

I would try turning the bottle upside down to get liquid to it and see if it willrev up.
Also I have seen them not run rightwhen the air cleaner is not hooked up.so make sure it is in order

Make sure you are not opening the bottle valve to quick and making the stop check valve on the bottom of the valve close.

My son bought a DC that had been converted to LP with all new Case parts, including the head.
After I put new sleeves and pistons in, I ran it off a 1# bottle inverted to test it before we filled the tank.

Nick, I believe that was indeed happening. If I opened the tank then went to the ignition/lp soleniod valve and switched it on. I then tried turning on the ign/gas valve first then slowly opening the tank valve. Thanks for your input on that issue. I believe I am ready to fill the tractors lp tank. I have installed a new fill valve and another(vapor something)valve. Air tested for leaks and have none. So will have the lp man stop soon. thanks gobble

Don,There won't be any pictures as I can barely operate a computer at the most elementary level. What I have done in the past was to send a picture from my phone to my friend "Chuck the Machinest" and he has posted them for me. Thanks for your input and interst. gobble

Chuck, How are things at your new job location? Are you getting used to the commute time. I always used my commute time to think about upcoming projects and what needed to be ordered or done prior to starting. In fact somedays I would not remember passing the different exit ramps from the Interstate. Just following the white lines and thinking. Kind of a scarey thought. No I have not checked the tranny or rear end or hydraulic fluid for moisture/water. this tractor was stored inside a pole bldg, until a tornado took the bldg. Broke the air cleaner pipe and muffler/exhaust pipe and elbow off and left a big dent in the hood. About six weeks til tractor ride 2015. Looking forward to seeing you then. tom

Have not gotten used to the commute yet, although I have a great place to store the trailer here at the plant.Manager does not care one way or the other. Still trying to nail down a permanent home for the 411. Still looking for another project tractor after I finish the one I have. Looking fwd to Boone!
