6000 series info

New to me AC 6060

Left brake sticks down, you have to pry it up with your toe. I am presuming that if I take the front panel off I will find the brake assembly, and am hoping is is just in need of cleaning and lubrication? The brake pedals are not bent of damaged in any way, just the inside one sticks....they both work but seem stiff. Parking brake light does not work.

The clutch is at the high end, but I could not get it to slip in H4 with the brakes on. I am hoping it is just in need of adjustment?

There was a hum or whine in high range when releasing clutch, seemed to be in all gears? Normal... low on fluid????

PTO lever was in the forward position and I was told it worked properly. It has the thrust bearing bra installed. Slight oil leak at one bolt holding bra on. Hoping loose bolts.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

My recollection is rusty. Up on the front of the "firewall" is a plastic reservoir. I can't remember if it sits on top of the brake cylinders, but that's what I'm thinking. It holds hydraulic oil. The brakes are hydraulic, but manual(not connected to the hyd. system) The brakes themselves are wet brakes, on the inboard end of the rear axle housings, near the planetaries.

When new, this system worked well. I have no idea what's going on now. I'm going to guess the problem is just the pedal mechanism.

As I recall, the clutch used a cable.

I hope this information is correct, and helps.
