John Deere 40 | When I was a kid growing up in Kentucky, my Pop had a 1955 john deere 40. I used to set tobacco on a tobacco setter on the back of that tractor, then I learned to rake hay and bail hay driving that old john deere 40. Well my brother who has a 1938 case got me to go to a tractor show with him in Kentucky. I feel in love all over again. He found me a 1955 john deere 40 in Michigan and took it to Kentucky for me. Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation.
