Jims Sale | Okay folks, we're ready to begin. I want to thank everybody for coming out today. We're going to sell all the items you see set out here in the yard. Jim was quite a collector, and a real good farmer so if you want it, it's here today. Regular auction rules apply. We're going to start right here, sell everything on this wagon, then the next, move right down the side of the corn crib, around to the hog feeders, then we're going to sell the granary's. Bob, hold up that box there, yes, now, Let's have a bid on these fine tools..... Alright fellas, it's 2:00, and we're going to start on the tractors, just like we said. The Massey, then the M Farmalls, and finish with the 706, so lets start the bidding. 500, do I hear 550....Guys, when is the last time you saw an M Farmll with a Mag? This tractor is so original it almost hurts! This is the day you can take home a piece of agricultural history!....... Let's get Larry up here, Larry can tell you about the 706, Jim was his father-in-law, now Larry, 'Jim', bought this tractor new didn't he? 'Yes, he did, and it's never been opened up.' 'The hydraulics work great, the rubber is a little thin, but they hold up good.' Go ahead and start it up Larry. Lots of blue smoke mixes with the black lifting into the sky. 'She needs some paint fellas, but that doesn't stop it from working real hard.' So lets start the bidding at 800, good, do I have 900. Dozens of coveralled men shift their feet around in the mud and snow, wondering who is going to get this tired out old 706. Well time to go load up what I got. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
